My Vandersteen 3A Signatures are bi-wired with Blue/Black Kimber TC8 so it wasn't to hard for my eye to pick up that it might be Kimber. Have always liked his wire with Thiel and Vandersteen speakers. I have Kimber 4TC on my Thiel speakers. I think Pat has a great idea of getting them all ready then having a pro shoot them in a booth. One of the guys I ride motorcycles with on the weekends tunes, repairs, and refinishes Pianos. I'm going to ask him what he thinks of doing some DIY speakers in piano black finish. When I worked for Collins Commercial Avionics, we had a young guy that wasn't licensed nor had he finished his degree so he did all our aircraft antenna rebuilds. The company sent him to auto body school to get trained in surface prep and painting. That kid could lay down some paint. Anyway, he prepped and finished a pair of 3 way first order DIY speakers I built when we finished work one Saturday. Aircraft antenna are white and when he was done, I still have never seen a Japanese white piano finish to match those speakers.
