Depending on your budget, I would look at Audio Source ($150) and the
Parasound Zamp .v3 ($349) for the 50 watt range.

For just having music, there is the Dayton T-amp for $45 with 7.5 watts
or the Pyle for $65 with 20 watts (has 20 watts but the distortion
factor climbs big time after 5W)

All watts listed into 8 ohm loads.

The Mouse Amp that was suggested looks like a really nice  design,
clean amp. But at $399 dollars, the Parasound kills it for $349
especially with one getting 15 watts more per channel and if one doesn't
need the volume knob.

Just some suggestions not knowing your budget or actually how small the
amp has to be (by small did you mean in size or amount of watts?).
