For some reason I was convinced it was digi, but you're right. I've got
a feeling the market isn't saturated with either type, so if anyone has
pointers to other brands similar to the AVI's I would also be interested
in that.

Thanks for the pointer. Its for a secondary system etc. etc, so you're
right in that it is already more than I want to spend. Basically the
active architecture has many advantages and I'm out to satisfy my
curiousity as cheeply as possible. Given the Boom's price I was kind of
hoping someone did something similar, without the streaming part, but
with slightly larger amps and drivers.
