the rear speakers (DS7) are mounted flush on to the wall (there was
little to work with)... the front 703s are on spikes on the stone bench
out from the wall, with the klipsch RT-12D in the corner which works
well... I went through 4 diff subs, including a velodyne, before
settling on the klipsch, for my room it does an incredible job, I do
love that sub, although I highly doubt my neighbours do :)

acoustic/noise blocking curtains sounds like an interesting avenue, if
I could get the right material to suit roller blinds, will definitely
look into it thanks.

thinking I might swap out the Rotel RB-1080 for a Rotel RB-1572 to
power the 703s

main reason is it's a lot smaller sized amp, 431 x 99 x 339 mm VS 430 x
139 x 400 mm

meaning it would fit on top of the Denon, so I could have the
dvd/TP/beyonwiz on the other side with enough room to space them out
with say some black ravioli, which hopefully would help alleviate some
of the heat issues with the TP

sound wise though, do you think the 1572 would make much of a
difference over the 1080, given it's an extra 50w & class D? I've not
used class D amps before
