You're implying that there's something wrong with the analogue signal from the TP which after being passed through a tube amp is less wrong. Tube amps are non-linear devices, and any signal that is passed through one must by definition be degraded (in the sense of being further away from the original).
Of course, the nature of the degradation imparted by tube amps can be very beguilling - it is well known that small amounts of certain distortions (eg. even order harmonics) can give the impression of extra detail and image depth.
