You're close but it's the other way around - those are intentional 802.11 emissions being picked up on those cables, then amplified by your receiver. Occasionally people ask whether wired or wireless sounds better. Usually there is no difference because the data stream is identical. However, if you have a situation where some piece of equipment is demodulating 2.4GHz into the audible band, then you can hear it.
