Although the solutions given above are all very good, I use a much simpler way of identifying the 24/48, 24/88.1 or 24/96 tracks in my library. I simply added the following to the album name and album name tag: (24bit-96kHz) So for example I have the following two entries in my music library: Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand (24bit-96kHz) Where the second entry is also tagged as "Raising Sand (24bit-96kHz)" in the "album" field. By doing so I can then search for the string "24bit" and find all the higher resolution albums in my collection. Additionally in the cases where I have both standard (read "CD") resolution and high resolution versions in my collection I can instantly tell exactly which version is which. Of course this doesn't completely solve the problem of finding individual 24/96 tracks since the individual tracks are not tagged with the "24bit-96kHz" info but it does help a just bit to narrow down the search. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73657 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
