I have yet to find an S/PDIF receiver that is really immune to input jitter.
For example I have some experience with the SABRE chips, they are supposed to be immune to input jitter, but its not true. I can easily hear the difference between an SB3 and an SB Touch. What it DOES do well is make really bad input streams sound pretty good. It essentially levels the playing field for not great sources. Really good ones still sound significantly better. I don't experience with the chip referenced, but my guess is that its not going to fare any better than the SABRE.
