Richard - wireless vs wired won't affect anyhting - especially volume
levels.
To enable logging go into the web UI - settings - advanced - logging
and set the player.source entry to "debug" (choose from drop down
list).
It's best to stop the server, delete the contents of server.log and
start the server then play a track. You will see LOTS of stuff written
to server.log...


Not sure exactly what you mean by storage/distribution. FLAC is
perfect. You need at least two physically seperate external disks for
proper offsite backup (not RAID - RAID is NOT backup of any kind!).
