+1 on Phil's excellent response. I often find myself wishing we had enforced terms of service rules like hydrogenaudio.com. They don't put up with nonsense over there about hearing differences without hard evidence and ABX tests. My "audiophile" friends swear they can tell the difference between CDs, FLAC files, and mp3s (even 128 vs 320 mp3 files). NONE of them have ever been able to correctly identify even a 128kbs mp3 compared to FLAC or CD on my better than average home system (with Transporter as my digital player direct into analog inputs of preamp).
