I have no experience with a ReadyNAS, but wanted to share my experience
with a NAS solution. I have a QNAP 219P with two 1GB drives. Loaded
SSOTS and then SBS on top of it. I feed high rez files to my transporter
over a wireless connection and have never had any drop-outs or hick-ups.
The solution is fast and so convenient. I also use it as a web server,
surveillance station, and central storage for pics and videos.

Prior to the 219P had an older version (109II) which in fact displayed
some of the shortfalls raised in this forum. Obviously, processor speed
makes a big difference and the latest QNAP boxes deliver on that front.
Front that perspective the time is ripe to switch from a laptop to (the
right) NAS. Just my 2 cents..
