I did enough LP/digital comparison toward the beginning of my ongoing conversion project to satisfy myself that I was getting the results I was after. I tried a couple of different devices and settled on the M-Audio card. Other people have obviously chosen differently. I also tried different sample rates and found I was happy with the standard CD quality. I find the vast majority of LPs have their own inherent limitations and I just didn't find I was getting anything from the higher sampling rates that justified the extra file size.
