I don't know how you identify "towers" but Audience 72 from Dynaudio look like the average small tower and go deep to 28.
Since they are 2.5 ways with odd impedance, you will need a little more amp. Unusually, "band" amps of about 200 Wpc are not expensive and offer very good frequency and rise time specs. Crown and (some) Peavy come to mind. I use the 72's with a B&K 2200 (because that was the only thing I could find at the time.) This combo cost me about 2K and scares a lot of guests.
