I've used my Transporter daily for about a year (wired with ethernet). I've never had either issue. From reading, it seemed that many (most?) of the over voltage issues were reported by those using 220, and it was confirmed that the minor fix for this would be in next firmware. Never had any 96khz issue (and don't recall reading any general issue with this....some recollection of something related to ALAC, but as a FLAC user I didn't pay that much attention. p.s. I like mine so much, I'm even considering getting a second unit just to have as a backup!
