You can't generalise the spikes argument. It depends on your speakers and (most of all) on the nature of your floor... Both methods are valid in different contexts. As for passive bi-wiring - I agree, but the main spin-off benefit was that with the extra terminals you get to do passive bi-amping - and that CAN make a difference - although nowhere near as much as active bi-amping with no passive x-over :-) -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
