To answer your question: I don't think that you'll hear or notice any
worthwhile difference between the Denon and the JVC.

I do have a few questions regarding your setup.

You say that the Denon is used in a 5.1 home theater system and yet
that you can somehow isolate the rear channel speakers. Are you sure
about that since most HTRs (home theater receivers) do not have this
ability. On many HTRs there is a provision to power two separate sets
of speakers, A & B, which can be located in different areas but the
main 5.1 channel speaker are powered as a group.

On a different note: having the Touch digitally connected to the Denon
would enable you to listen to DTS encoded multi-channel recordings. Do
a forum search on "DTS playback" to see what I'm talking about.
