Thats the clicher for me understand me rigth the electronics can be "transparent" at least compared to the speakers and your room :-/ Going a long way to avoid obvious artifacts is one idea I cherish. That is what I mean by "neutral" Even if the record is not the "event" you can at least play whats on the disc/file as a starter . Ordered me some Meridian active speakers yesterday :) Got a good price, so no more passive speakers for me....
