Was the piano version by any chance Dalberto, Queffelec, Devoyon, Gautier on Erato ? 2003/4 Penguin Guide says that "...the very agreeable recording provides better inner clarity than often happens with harpsichord versions of these works." -rather bears out your comment. Can't help with best sounding version from Personal experience but that edition of penguin [not really covered in new edition) seems to favour the Chandos (0611) "...in terms of recorded sound it is unsurpassed. You can probably download from their website. -- adamdea ------------------------------------------------------------------------ adamdea's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37603 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86023 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
