Ella's songbooks were astounding. "The Jerome Kern Songbook" is one of my all-time faves. Eerily real at times.
The think the dynamic range labeling may or not be effective, but it calls attention to a major flaw in recorded music today. Increasingly people are demanding "Hi-Rez" in their video experiences. The audio experience shouldn't be excluded. I see some problems fitting true HD audio on Ipods, and Radio stations have a fit with dynamic range. Loud=Listeners. Even so...the music industry is always looking for it's next gimmick. Maybe this time around...actual FIDELITY could be a cool twist. Boy...I sure miss 1982. We had 96db dynamic range, and "Perfect Sound Forever" back then.... ;) -- Curt962 Transporter...Touch....Boom...... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Curt962's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31949 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86519 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
