One is a description of a subjective phenomenon, the other is an assumed explanation for it and not a replacement for the purely descriptive term at all. In fact it's not clear at all to me that better channel separation and frequency response will result in subjectively wider soundstage, as anyone can demonstrate to themselves with decent analog equipment. Now the one invented audiophile buzzphrase that really does bug me is "PRaT" (Pace, Rhythm and Timing). -- Daverz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Daverz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86399 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
