I guess it is a bug in Squeezebox Server. The song info shows File Format: Apple Lossless, Bitrate: 2887kbps VBR, Sample Rate: 96.0 kHz, and Sample Size: 16 Bits. It doesn't add up. It has to be 24 bit. iTunes and Audacity see the very same file as 24 bit. And I couldn't tell any difference by listening.
