'Here' (http://www.audiomisc.co.uk/Linux/Sound3/TimeForChange.html) is an article about jitter possibly more relevant to music - the author relates jitter to wow and flutter in analogue systems, arguing that there's a lot more to it than a single measurment. I think HiFi News are adopting his test as being more revealing than the conventional one.
