It wouldn't be fair to compare <most anything> to the Kappa's but I will say that for a two-way, everyone's been impressed. I've been playing them during waking hours and they will certainly open up after exercise. Most surprising is the bass response and being able to hear both speakers when "outside" the sidelines. In their current setting, they should be a little further apart. Even with the Kappa's soaking up sound they are good and loud/clear. I'll probably add a preamp to see how loud they will play since with the Receiver and amp, almost everything can play 100% without the amp signalling. The tip toes we have on hand aren't going to work so it will be a few days before coupling to the floor really solidifies the bottom end. The money has a seasonal job (owns/runs a marina) so he may give the finish some detail during the slow winter months.
