Holding tight is sometimes the best move. ;-) I don't agree with the consensus building as a method for choosing an action though. Go out and listen to what you can and ignore what other people think. Ultimately you are the one who has to live with the loudspeaker and when you ask other people their experience ranges all over the map. I'm always amazed at the range of opinions of the same system at an audio show. It literally ranges from wildly enthusiastic to decidedly tepid. And there are both good & bad active designs. The biggest part of the equation isn't necessarily that it is active. The biggest part of the puzzle is that it is well-designed. With active the designer has a few more tools at their disposal to improve the results but it doesn't guarantee them. -- Kevin Haskins ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kevin Haskins's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30729 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88582 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
