Higher IRQ priority for audio processes doesn't equate to higher audio quality in any linear or deterministic way. You (we) need to understand WHY IRQ priority of ANY process has any effect at all... there is at least one likely candidate explanation.
(if you are using an external DAC) Try using Toslink instead of coax.
