I'm using an AE like this as a wireless bridge to feed one of my Touches in my kitchen. If I use the Touch on wireless, my microwave causes dropouts. But the AE can use 801.11n at 5Mhz and is more robust, so I connect my Touch via CAT5 to the AE. As a bonus I can use Airplay to stream anything from iTunes or my apple Touch (tv sound for example).
