There are several reasons for the Transporter. One of which is that I own a system that most would consider a bit above average (magnepans, two aragon 4004 amps, Theta CD Transport etc etc). Although it is more conveneint to entertain during the holidays and parties with Pandora (set it and forget it). I also have an HTPC my son built that is hooked up to the TV and to my stereo system. I have an extensive collection of CD's that I do not use nearly as much simply because it is easier to turn Pandora on and forget it. Ripping the CD's into my HTPC would allow me to easily access the music (which now I have to dig for). The transporter would make changing from CD to CD or Artist to Artist much easier. For convenience reasons it will be running Pandora quite a bit of the time (as I do now) but when I want to sit/relax 'one on one' with my stereo I will be using the HTPC and Transporter. Makes sense?
