I was using a transparent 1.5m cable & was hearing a strange distortion in the highs, I thought it was something else in the system, or just my system -- but along the way i switched to that black cat cable (not expecting it to fix the highs), and those weird distortions went away (kind if like an underpowered tube amp fuzzy,nervous distortions), my theory was the transparent cable is to long.
