I've been away for a while, now back in the midst of all this excitement! First off, let me say that I absolutely adore what Klaus has done with the Touch (and I'm talking only about his TT2.0) He basically opened the box and gave us the ability to really enjoy music reproduction. However, I hasten to add that only after applying dynaudio mods, including the jive_alsa and spdif priority mods, have I experienced how my Touch finally made it into the higher echelon of top end digital transports. Right now, it sounds like a million bucks. It sounds so good, that I'm overwhelmed with this superstitious feeling which is holding me back from trying the latest TT3.0. I need a push, someone to tell me that it's gonna be worth it. I am of the opinion that a high end audio system is somewhat similar to a well stocked wine cellar. The only way to make sure you get a good bottle of wine is to let it sit there, aging gracefully. I know it's a silly superstition, but my system is giving me so much pleasure right now, that I feel as if it would be blasphemous to rattle its cage by doing a factory reset and applying the TT3.0. I honestly question that things could sound any better than they do with TT2.0 and all the dynaoudio mods. Can someone reassure me that it is indeed possible to squeeze even more music out of Touch? Also, has anyone attempted comparative listen between TT2.0 with dynaudio mods vs TT3.0 sans dynaudio mods? Any findings? -- magiccarpetride ------------------------------------------------------------------------ magiccarpetride's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91322 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
