John Westlake, the designer of the M-DAC, has posted at length on the pink fish media forum. Someone sent him a Touch to measure - according to him it was pretty dreadful - but after connecting it to his M-DAC and its two stages of jitter attenuation things seemed to get a lot better. If you check out the whole thread you'll see he is talking about modifying a Touch and introducing some kind of clock input.
