HumanMedia: I tried the changes you mentioned above, including (re-)setting my buffer to 4000. I lost all the "refinement" and detail the BDA-1 DAC is capable of. Sounded kinda low-buck, if you know what I mean, flat and deadishly uninspiring lol. But no fuzziness like I had before! Listenable for sure, but a letdown after yesterday.
So I went back to SBGK's p48 settings alone, except with the TT3.0 buffer setting still at 4000: this sounds about how I remember it last night, *without* the occasional bout of fuzziness (so far...). Maybe my network requires the 4000 setting, which just could be why I set it at that all those months ago...though I never did get the crackling or similar noise some reported when the buffer was too small (TT2.0). -- cfraser ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cfraser's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48869 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91322 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
