Yes, the intention is to eliminate spurious processes that are not related in any way to SOUND PROCESSING. Once we get to that point (i.e. no time is wasted on dealing with the screen, the infrared etc.), the idea is to give free reigns to the CPU to do only that -- SOUND PROCESSING. And let it go nuts while processing the sound, because that is its only reason d'etre (purpose in life). I'd say it's actually a very good indicator that things are going well if we see the CPU doing a lot of heavy lifting while processing the sound, and doing only that. So I don't see how would that be strange. Instead of multi-tasking and multi-processing, we free the CPU to focus single-mindedly on only one task at hand, which is -- what? (you have the right to guess three times; if you fail to guess correctly after the third attempt, you'll be disqualified) -- magiccarpetride ------------------------------------------------------------------------ magiccarpetride's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91322 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
