get off your "complete loser if you disagree with me" soapbox. It's tiring. But back to your point: I don't disagree at all that there is nothing wrong with complete enjoyment of our life where possible and if a cool looking amp, a purple cable, and a stone on top of my CD player make it all better *for me*, then great. No dispute here. My only dispute is when folks want to claim some reproducible, scientific, measurable engineering phenomena from such factors. And then claim that if I can't hear such differences, my system is simply not revealing enough or that the humidity in my parent's basement is preventing the proper listening environment. p.s.
