better wifi on the Touch and much easier to setup and trouble shoot, if the duet-reciever malf for some reason an Ui conisting of a flashing led wont tell you much . And you also get ir remote, the reciever have no ir .
And what bytec said hirez, even if the downsampling on the server is very good it uses cpu and if you have a small server like me, you are happy to be rid of transcoding for hirez files. Sound quality, I'm completely unfamiliar with the modern dac magic , but if it has reasonably good jitter and noise rejection sq diff on normal CD quality may be subtle or nonexisting. That said, Touch is a better player especially it's analog output , but spdiff is said to be better to. But if you can hear the " better spdif" witha dac-magic I don't know really. but it can't be wrong to have a better transport given it's low price I think that even subtle improvements acumulate to a better sound in the end. But in the whole picture with that money is the $ more effective somewhere else in your system -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
