I don´t get your point. The link simply proves that the Touch with a
good DAC does a perfect job, in this case their D1-DAC.

They even clearly state there is no difference on the Touch feeded by
wireless, SD or USB drive because the internal buffering on the Touch
must work flawlessly :)

Getting 20dB better specs on digital silence when upsampled is no
magic, it doesn´t play a role on music. So their DAC has better analog
specs. That shouldn´t be a surprise.

All this doesn´t prove the Touchs digital out doesn´t do as well with
other DACs.
