Scientific rigor is all about splitting hairs. No matter how much work you lay down, as long as you don't go out of your way to eliminate all conceivable variables, you're basically still in the dark. :)
The idea that two factory standard Touch units can sound differently is not new to me. I think it's been discussed on this forum before. And if they have been produced in several batches, it's not completely implausible is it? It wouldn't hurt to test the unmodded Touches against each others, so at least you know that the listeners who -can- hear differences between them when one is modded, -cannot- hear differences between them none is modded. After all, if they can hear differences in both scenarios, it doesn't make much sense to attribute the differences to the mods, does it? -- Soulkeeper 'Bug 17797: Updating wiki.slimdevices.com' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17797) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91322 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
