Yep but it not always easy do at at home . But the ideal circumstance evaluating things 1. Is it even possible , some tweaks are so unlikely so you only have to do a reality check against genral laws of physics and know " how things work " to discard the whole idea . 2. Have similar ideas had any sucess in the past ? 3. Measure it ! ( this is the part most home users can't do ) does it actually change anything , if it does not measure different it can't sound different . 3b google up,someone else measurements 4 . Try to figure if it matters at all , there is knowledge base out there on what we actually can hear it would be futile to try to hear difference between 0,008% thd and 0,009% when human hearing in best circumstances can detect 0,1% 5. Listen via some abx or ab test ,you established that there is a real difference but can you hear it :) Btw it can still be worthily to implement real improvements even if they can't realy be heard in isolation ,things add up in the end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93380 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
