mp3 should have no sound on its own, no matter what many people claim.
Recordings underneeth sound much more different than some recording
against ist mp3 version.
What mp3 for sure does is making transients slower and softer so in
direct comparison there are differences. Most High-End tuning goes in
exactly that direction. Mudden the sound to compensate the faults in a
highly voiced music chain and make it more comfortable on the ears.
