However you forgot the single most important characteristic of any piece of audio equipment or accessory with respect audiophile concerns: COST For example a $3,000 silver colored power cord will ALWAYS sound better than any $300 power cord regardless of color. Remember that this is a universal rule (actually it's more like a law) and any methodology that gives a result that runs counter to this rule is to be disregarded. So for example if a carefully controlled and perfectly run series of double blind listening tests clearly show that a stock power cord, a $300 power cord and a $3,000 power cord all sound the same then one can only conclude that double blind listening tests are worthless since otherwise it would violate the universal price law. There are many corollaries to the price law, such as the equipment of a frequent advertiser, particularly an advertiser who runs several full pages per issue, will always 1) be given extensive and positive coverage and 2) sound better than similarly priced equipment from non-advertisers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97950 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
