Audio myths are interesting. But in my case, I've realized that they
don't work for me. Keeping an open mind, I was prepared to give some of
those audio myths a world, but I pretty much always left the evaluation
session not being able to hear any notable difference. And believe me,
my expectation AND my confirmation biases were revved at their highest
possible! And yet, nothing happened.

This is why I think placebos don't work in audio. Despite the fact that
on so many occasions I wanted SO BADLY that the myth would work (because
then it would improve the sound of my system), the placebo was incapable
of kicking in. Wishful thinking doesn't work in audio.
