OK, anyway just wanted to close this loop .. SlimDevices is history.. Squeeze line of devices is history.. Yet, I continue to use Squeezeserver with (broken) Squeezelite, which feeds via KS and proprietary Metronome/M2Tech driver the DAC. Broken since I added a parametric EQ..
