of course it makes a difference, does win 7 sound the same as win 8 ? You can try altering the priority of the logitech server program on your pc eg high to low, if you can't hear any difference then optimisations may not help, otherwise learn to think for yourself and try things out instead of looking for opinions from people with a bits are bits agenda.
