Theoretically, I guess "no", but it does seem that different streamers and digital transports do sound different, be that my old SB Duet, the SBT before and after EDO and TT3.0, my laptops, Toslink vs. coaxial, etc. Putting my SBT on a firm foundation and changing to a linear PS all seem to make a diff, too. Maybe electrical noise is the culprit? But coaxial generally sounds better than the glass toslink I have.
