Besides the physics off it . You are the limit for Frequncy response . And equipment background noise and again you limits the dynamics . I tried a thingat home i played a -112dB midrange (minus ,very quiet ) signal at full volume in my hifi I could hear it over ambient noise with some electronic noise when being very close to a speaker . The signal was not audible from my listening position ,again with the volume at 100% on the hifi something I never do in reality .
