I have a new C50 McIntosh Preamp. It has a Digital Analog converter. Can I: 1. Bypass the DAC in the Transporter (keeping it digital) and use the fiber optic (Toslink?) out to the external DAC? I'd like to do a sound comparison. Because of the cost difference and brand name of McIntosh I'm hoping the McIntosh will sound even better. 2. Could I use the Logitech music server software with a USB out to connect directly from my lap top into the McIntosh C-50 DAC and Pre-amp? I don't know how to get the music off the laptop except through the headphone jack, but there has to be a way to get it out through a USB: Right?
