I use a 2 amp supply ( on my own risk ) but who knows , I would not really recommend , my "upgrade" psu is there as a leftover from the tail end my more dogmatic audiophile days it was for my SB3 originally . touch is also designed to drive USB disk and flash drives trough the USB connector and run it's own internal LMS server. It migth in some configurations with a brigth display and a spinning drive running it's it's own LMS server actually use close to 3 amp . Or it could be a rounding of numbers . I don't thin you can go to a PSU manufacturer " G'day I'd want a 2.7865 amp psu..." They probaly offer you their 3 amp model ? Maybe if you make millions of products... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
