I actually have no problem if they want to charge lots of money for the finish, just like people that like gold plated iPods and the like :) Then it's for people who like bling.
But, yes, if it's a lot of money and saying it's because it sounds so awesome then I guess audiophiles must have their expensive "mine cost more than yours so it must sound better" toys ;) It's why I left avforums, they were reviewing the Chord Electronics Hugo DAC which is over £1000....the review said it had it's own "sound". If you're paying £1000 for a DAC and it's colouring the sound then it's a pretty bad product if you ask me!
