Anything that "burns in" or "breaks in" is also wearing out.

Why would you buy a cable that's wearing out?

(Basically, cable break in is a lie, just designed to get you to hold
onto the new cable until you can't return it, because they sound
*exactly* the same as much cheaper cables.)
