And complete BS. The design of power supplies is so simple that it was one of the few circuits that I learned about in the Electrical Engineering for Non-Electrical Engineers course that I took in college. Just more audiophile voodoo. For the record I'm quite sure that the Antipode music servers sound quite good but the question is really do they sound better than say a computer running LMS and streaming to a SB Touch feeding a high quality DAC? That question is very relevant to this forum. By the way, my comment about Mac Minis and Windows laptops was meant as a joke. A joke about the total garbage that is constantly being printed being in any of the various high end audio magazines and web sites out there. For example it as often been stated in some of these publications that wav files sound better than flac files but I never seen any mention of aiff files (the Apple equivalent of a wav file) sounding better than an Apple lossless files. Now gee, why is that? I fully understand and support what you are saying about using a laptop (be it Windows, Apple or Linux) and USB DAC as a great front end to an audio system. What I don't understand the high end gods (not you since you obviously believe otherwise) unwillingness to move forward and promote these types of front ends of anything other background listening and the playing of web based streamed audio.
