Hi there, I recently built a new setup as my ReadyNas ( which was never brilliant ) is showing signs of age. I used a Raspberry Pi model 2 as my server , aadded a 500gb USB external disc as storage and was up and running in no time, the Pi power supply uses 5 volts and outputs ~ 2.0 amps which is enough to power the drive directly. You need to have version of LMS built for hard float but some kind soul has done this for us. Total outlay for computer bits £75 - can't be bad can it ?
When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro. Hunter S Thompson CD's -> EAC/Grip -> ReadyNas NV -> CAT5 -> Sonicwall -> TP -> Meridian 551 -> Monitor Audio Gold -> Me :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pkfox's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5346 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96407
